Radial-carotid pulse ratios from the  Nei Jing, Suwen chapter 9

"Cause [of] RenYing [St9] 1-times abundant [or flourishing or raging],
disease is ShaoYang;
2-times abundant, disease is TaiYang;
3-times abundant, disease is YangMing;
4-times abundant" is Yang escaping / rejected, not communicating with
Yin.

CunKou [Lu9] 1-times abundant, disease is JueYin;
2-times abundant, disease is ShaoYin;
3-times abundant, disease is TaiYin;
4-times abundant", Yin is collapsed / closed, can't communicate with
Yang. RenYing and CunKou
both 4-times abundant,  is "guan ke", obstructed; heaven and earth,
pre- and post-natal JingQi are in a bad way -- death.”

The relationship between the carotid and radial artery is typically recorded as 2:1, 3:1 and 4:1

Foot - Hand relationship

The uneven / tense / rough pulse that indicate problems in the metal or
fire element could also be called the "hand" or "upper" pulse as all
the channels from metal and fire flows on the hand / arm.

The even / smooth / soft pulse indicates problems in channels related
to the foot / leg, and could be called the "fot" or "lower" pulse, as
the meridians of water, wood and earth flows on the foot / leg.

Example:

The hand taiyang and the foot taiyang both have a relationship
Carotis:Radialis 3:1 and are differentiated through the quality of the
pulse as the hand taiyang (SI) has a rough/uneven quality (belongs to
fire / runs on hand) and the foot taiyang (UB) has a smooth/even
quality.(belongs to water / runs on foot)

In the same way the hand yangming and foot yangming is differentiated
through the quality of the pulse in that the metal (LI) is rough/uneven
and the earth (ST) is smooth/even

Hand - Foot pulse:

pulse    x    foot / lower                    hand / upper
            even/smooth/soft/empty        uneven/rough/tense/full

Yin (R)       2        Liv    (foot JueYin)            Pc  (hand JueYin)

Yang (C)    2        GB    (foot ShaoYang)        SJ (hand ShaoYang)

Yin (R)       3        Kid    (foot Shao Yin)        Ht  (hand ShaoYin)
Yang (C)     3       UB    (foot Tai Yang            SI  (Hand TaiYang)

Yin (R)       4        Sp    (foot TaiYin)            Lu  (hand TaiYin)
Yang (C)     4       St    (foot YangMing)        LI  (hand YangMing)
